If you are flying to Vegas you would think you fly out of O’hare airporthttps://www.flychicago.com/ohare/home/pages/default.aspx but if you are flying Southwest or Frontier airlines you will fly out of midway. Chicago’s busiest airport is Ohare airport but make sure you know where you are flying.
You are on the main Chicago flights to vegas page so click O’HARE FLIGHTS TO VEGAS if you specifically want to fly only from Ohare airport and MIDWAY FLIGHTS TO LAS VEGAS if you only want to fly on Southwest, Frontier or one of the smaller charters. If you are driving from out of town, and fly out early in the morning, check out the Ohare airport hotels and the Midway airport hotels for some discount rates. Nothing like getting a fresh start and not being rushed. Traffic can be very slow during peak times. In fact, if you are not staying at the airport, consider taking the high speed train. Regardless if you leave from Ohare or Midway, you will land at Terminal 1 and likely at C or D gates but regardless of what gate you land at, everyone has to take the tram to the terminal. Make sure you take the BLUE tram to terminal 1 where you can get your bags. The baggage pickup starts about 50 feet from the escalator that you take as soon as you get off the Tram.

Getting around Chicago is best on the CTA lines. The blue line ends at the O’Hare Blue Line station, making it easy to transfer to the airport from around the city. Buses and Uber/Lyft are equally as useful from the airport to the streets of Chi-town.
